Unable VMware Tools

O"Most desktop Linux distributions are oriented towards tech-savvy users and developers, but Endless OS isn’t your typical Linux distribution. We have a different target user. We don’t use rpm, apt, or any other packaging system. We use a read-only root file system managed by OSTree with application installed using Flatpack"

Yeah, now it’s unable to Install VMware Tools to view in full screen, or copy-paste between Windows and Endless. So this prevents it to use this OS.

You can install using the toolbox command. I recommend reading the toolbox command documentation using the command toolbox --help or github.com/debarshiray/toolbox/tree/master/doc

Toolbox is a tool that offers a familiar RPM based environment for developing and debugging software that runs fully unprivileged using Podman.

Thanks for the feedback here. Indeed, we do not really offer support for any extra functionality needed to optimize the host-guest interactions for VMware; the toolbox approach probably doesn’t help you either here.

If Virtualbox is an option for you, you might consider giving that a try instead of vmware. Support for virtualbox host-guest interactions is superior to VMware in the official Linux kernel releases, plus we do specifically ship some virtualbox drivers, which we try to keep that working reasonably well.

Virtual Box you mean VM VirtualBox from Oracle?
