For several weeks the update :

“Freedesktop Platform” (19.08.10 shared libraries - 593K) will not install.
Just updated to v3.8.0 (200427-155333) ; still the problem persists. Now, on booting 3.8, and after selecting me as a user (admin), the attached screen shot of system messages is displayed . Sometimes the system just hangs at that point, others, OS proceeds to the desktop.
