Here is the error message. I have tried with both the full and basic version of the virtual image and get the same error. I am using the latest version of Virtual Box on Mac OS Catalina. Please HELP.

@DW27 could you share me the output of ‘ls -al /Users/xxxxxxxxx/Desktop/3.8.0/eos-amd64-amd64/base/eos-eos3.8-amd64-amd64.200427-200052.base.ovf’? The error code seems to indicate that you are opening a non-regular file.
Although I could not import it directly from Virtual Box I could right click on the file (as you suggested) and import it that way. I have no idea why importing directly from Virtual Box did not work. What I notice is that installations of new programs proceed at a snails pace compared to other linux distros I have tried in virtual box.
Since the Endless system runs so slowly on my computer as a virtual machine - at least compared with others that I have tried, I would like to know if I can download many of the content programs (Encyclopedia, Football, Geography, Dinosaurs etc) featured in Endless to use in another linux virtual machine.
Hi Doug,
I think you can try to at least modify the VM configurations and try to see if it helps. I’ll sugguest bigger memory and size and more virtual CPU first. It’s shipped with very basic settings with only 1CPU and 2G memory, You can increase to 4G and 4CPUs per your need.
