I am in my late 60’s. I do not belong to any social media or blogs…so my needing to join this blog was not an easy choice, but I wanted to let EOS know how very disappointed I am that I could not download the EOS unto a computer I inherited from a family friend who has passed away.
I spent all afternoon reading all the EOS questions and solutions. I downloaded the EOS unto a new 512MB thumb drive. I needed to access the BIOS to make booting from thumb drive the first action. I could not get this EOS to load first before the Microsoft Windows 10 booted in. I do not know the password for the BIOS access. I even tried to remove the back off of the laptop to remove the CMOS battery in order to reset and delete all the passwords. No such luck. I am really wanting this OS system. I do not wish to support Microsoft any longer by needing to purchase all new equipment in order to have Windows 11 ( which I decidedly do not want). All of my computers are running Win10 and not upgradable…even if I wanted to perform this function. I am at a loss as to what to do. I wish I could just purchase a CD with the EOS system installed which will over-write all the mIcrosoft software. Thank-you. Lorraine
