Why do EOS 3.0.6 Basic requires 16GB min disk space?

Good day Endless Team,

I only have 4GB of free space so tried installing Basic 3.0.6 in windows8 but it required 16GB min disk space even if it is only 1.6GB in size. I want to individually install the apps i need to save space so I tried EOS Basic hoping that it only requires at least 2GB min disk space. Is there a way to install EOS Basic with at least 2GB free disk space?

Additional question would be: can i install apps in external drives or usb?

It’s 1.6GiB compressed. When uncompressed the disk image is 5.7GiB. You also need some extra space for apps and data in Endless OS, and some space left over for apps and data in Windows. I’m afraid it’s just not going to fit in 4GiB.
