02:00.0 Network controller: Broadcom Limited BCM43142 802.11b/g/n (rev 01)

PLS see the attached report: eos-diagnostic-201108_100705_UTC 0200.txt (679.5 KB)

Hello @oci, unfortunately, the BCM43142 driver had a license issue and it is not part of the recent kernel version.

And my suggestion would be getting a USB dongle,

HTH,

Thanks very much for your answers.

Which Linux distribution can I try or this issue will always came up?

The issue is with every current Linux distribution as everyone is now using Kernel 5.x except for some older distributions. I second the suggestion from Yung to get either a Dongle - or, if you are proficient in using a screwdriver and doing basic work with computer electronics, grab a Mini PCI Express Wireless card (i suggest you to use a Intel 7260) and simply replace yours.

It’s easy according to the service manual: https://download.lenovo.com/consumer/mobiles_pub/lenovo_g400sg405sg400stouchg500sg505sg500stouch_hmm.pdf
