Notebook don't recognize new battery

Hello
I bought a new battery for my HP Pavilion dv7 with Endless OS
The system didn’t tecognized it, so I’ve made contact with the seller and it’s assistant gave me a tutorial to erase the old battery memory from the system, but this tutorial is made for windows, so I don’t know how to manage this in the Endless.

Can you share the tutorial for Windows? Probably there’s something similar that can be done on Endless.

The tutorial is basically reset battery memory. I run a test. Apparently is a BIOS update issue, I will try to fix it updating the BIOS, then I’ll come back to give you the result.
