Version numbers for ISO Files?

The downloaded ISO files for Endless are cryptic and don’t tell what version or edition that I have just downloaded. Is there a method to the madness?

eos-amd64-amd64-base-3.4.6-iso.torrent

I think @Rocky_Carr is referring to the ISO filename, which for the basic version of 3.4.6 is eos-eos3.4-amd64-amd64.180806-153510.base.iso.

Most of the information is in there: eos3.4 indicates that it’s a 3.4.x release, and base near the end indicates the Basic version. (Full versions have locale codes like id or pt_BR.) The string of digits is the date and time the image was built, in the form yymmdd-hhmmss.

The micro number is missing from the filename, but if you open up the ISO, you can find it in the autorun.inf file.

The filenames are an artefact of our build process and for tedious reasons it’s not easy to change them to be clearer!

Just what I needed. Thanks!
